PENSTEMON ‘Sour Grapes’

The two-lipped tubular flowers are an intriguing colour of blended purples and blues. ‘Sour Grapes’ has a pure white throat with streaks of purple, the flower buds are appropriately held in bunches. Luscious green lance-shaped foliage covers upright stems which bear stunning blousy flowers throughout the summer. 

Full sun or dappled shade positions in your borders and beds are ideal for ‘Sour Grapes’. Penstemon ideally like a fertile, well-drained but moisture-retentive soil. Softwood cuttings can be taken during early spring. Ensure that you cut back this Penstemon after the last of the spring frosts.
