Dahlia ‘David Howard’

Large, double, burnt orange flowers contrast beautifully with the dark bronze foliage from July until September. This Dahlia was introduced by nurseryman David Howard of Howard’s Nurseries in Norfolk , it was a chance seedling selected from Dahlia ‘Bishop Of Llandaff’. 

 D. ‘David Howard’ will thrive in a fertile, humus rich well-drained soil in full sun. In colder areas, lift, dry and store tubers frost-free once autumn frosts have blackened the foliage.  In milder areas tubers can be left in but protect the crown with mulch.

H3 – Hardy in coastal and relatively mild parts of the UK (-5 to 1)
