Large white flowers with a hint of green to their bracts and veins, appear for weeks on end from early summer.

Many of our designer clients use this Astrantia to add impact to their planting schemes, due to the size of bloom, flowering period and its ability to brighten up lightly shaded areas of the border.  Like many Astrantia, it will repeat flower if faded blooms are removed.

It makes good clumps quite quickly.  Part shade is best, but it will tolerate full sun as long as it is in a moisture retentive soil.
